Course Description

This module concentrates mainly on the introduction of industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of things, design and architecture, key technologies and applications in the domain of industry 4.0 and IIOT. The transformation of the industry can be possible by providing adequate substructures supported by sensors, machines, workplaces, and information technology systems that are communicating with each other first in a single enterprise and certainly with other communicative systems. These types of systems are referred to as Cyber-Physical Systems(CPS). Industry 4.0 focuses on the establishment of intelligent and communicative systems including Machine-to-Machine(M2M) communication and human-machine interaction. The actual application and case studies in the field of industry 4.0 will be presented in this course. The recent technologies related to robotics and the advances in this field are the other part of this course.
